R.I.P. Dan Wheldon

Indy Race Car driver Dam Wheldon died Sunday after a massive, fiery wreck at the Las Vegas Indy 300. He was involved in a 15-vehicle pile-up, his car flying over another and bursting into flames. It was the last race of the year for the Indy Car series. The race was red flag and later canceled.

The drivers took to the track for a 5 lap tribute to the fallen driver. This is the last race for Danca Patrick before going got Nascar. 3 other drivers were hurt in the crash encluding championship contender Will Power. All that mean nothing now because of the lost of  Wheldon who is was a fan favorite and a person that made you fell like a friend when he would talk to you.

He did not have a full time car this year but raced in the Indy 500 and won it on the last lap when the lead car his the wall in the last corner. I did not see the crash live but when I look back on it. It is on of the worst I have ever seen.

Thank You, Steve

Steve Jobs, A man I have more respect for then anyone in the world died this week on October 5, 2011. I have watched and read about Steve since 2000. I read books about his return to Apple. I have loved his products and wished one day I could own one. I was lucky enough to own IPod, IPod Touch, IPad and even a macbook.

Even thou at the time I was a windows user the Mac was always the thing I looked at. I love the Think Different Ad for Apple. I made it a point to watch each of his keynotes. I tried to be like him more then anyone.

In 2005 Steve gave a Commencement Speech at Stanford and this is the Quote I try to live by.

“Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

When I think of Steve Jobs, I am not sadden by his death. He fought long and hard to battle cancer.  I am lucky that I got to see a great man do great things. He change the world for the better. He created thing that will last. He will be talked about one of the greatest inventor’s  in American History.

Steve Jobs change the world with the products he created. Apple will take the ideals and the products and continue to change the world. He also change animation with Pixar. He created the company Next after Apple. That software is now called Mac OS X.

Thank you, Steve for all you have done. You will be missed.

Don’t be sad because it over, Smile because it happened.
